Titled "Intersectional Paradox".
In this work, I will capture the overwhelming nature of double consciousness when you have compounding oppressed identities. I will expand the definition of double consciousness from Blackness to my other identities: autism, being transgender, and being bisexual as a trans person. I will highlight the alienation that I experience due to these identities in a work which highlights the implicit biases of others, by portraying people in the act of microagressions that they may not be aware were bigoted. I will highlight the contrasting perceptions of my different identities and the paradox of intersectionality, and overlap each of the different biases associated with my identities, meshing styles, sizes, and canvases.
