Blender. 2025. The issues with America are right in your face; in the news, and in your daily life; but the ever-present fundamental flaws are abstracted through a lack of understanding of the constant nature of systemic oppression, present even during seeming "breaks" in the regime when neoliberal figureheads are at the forefront.
The star beams made of thick fog represent the smoke-and-mirrors dogma America and its systems are based on. In its gaseous form, we breathe this in and it permeates through us.
The main body of the elephant is made of glass. It is fragile, and you can see through it; both representing those who experience the worst of our country and see through the fake glory, and those who seem to find the problems invisible out of willful ignorance.
But the cracks in the glass are making these issues apparent to everyone. The cracks also representing the constant propaganda interrupting our innate ability to see through the veil of oppression.
In the original symbol, the 3 stars represent the three percenters, a hate group that rose to prominence as a reaction to Obama's presidency, and formed the basis of the January 6th insurrection.
Although this is not the "official" symbol of the republican party, it is very commonly used, which is why I highlighted these stars as a main compositional theme.
